Day 1 — Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Meet your fellow travellers and driver-guide at a welcome briefing in Arusha. After introductions, the group departs for Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic two-hour drive away. Enter the park and spend the afternoon on a shared game drive through the groundwater forest, acacia woodlands, and along the soda-lake shore where flamingos gather. Keep watch for the park's famous tree-climbing lions and large baboon troops. In the late afternoon, the group heads to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge, perched on the edge of the Great Rift Valley with panoramic views.

Descend 600 metres into the caldera in your shared 4x4 for an unforgettable full-day game drive. The crater floor is a natural amphitheatre of wildlife — black rhino, lion prides, elephant, buffalo, hippo, and vast herds of wildebeest and zebra. The group stops for a picnic lunch at a hippo pool, swapping stories before continuing the afternoon exploration. Ascend to Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, where your rooms cling to the crater rim.

Arrive at Tarangire Safari Lodge by early afternoon, settle in, and head out together for an afternoon game drive along the Tarangire River. Majestic baobab trees dot the landscape as the group searches for large elephant families, giraffe, wildebeest, and the park's impressive birdlife.
