Serengeti National Park
About Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti is Africa's most famous national park and one of the world's last great wildlife sanctuaries.
Covering 14,763 square kilometers of endless plains, savannah, and woodlands, it is home to the Great Migration — the largest terrestrial mammal migration on Earth, involving over 1.5 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebras, and 350,000 gazelles.
Year-round, the Serengeti offers incredible predator sightings with large prides of lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas.
The Seronera Valley in the central Serengeti is one of the best places for wildlife viewing, while the northern sector offers dramatic river crossings during the migration season.
