Day 2 — Arusha to Serengeti — Introductory Game Drive

After breakfast, your family-friendly guide collects you for the scenic drive west through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with stops for panoramic photographs and snacks for the children. Day 4 — Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater — Family Safari

One last morning game drive captures the Serengeti at its most active — dawn brings the plains bathed in golden light. Then begin the drive east to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 metres into the crater for a family safari on its wildlife-packed floor: lion prides, black rhinos, hippo pools, and soda lakes pink with flamingos. A picnic lunch by the hippo pool breaks up the day. Ascend in the late afternoon and continue into the lush Karatu highlands to Eileen's Trees Inn, where tropical gardens and a warm welcome await. In the evening, a junior ranger graduation ceremony by the gardens sees each child receive a certificate and a small souvenir.

Day 5 — Karatu to Arusha — Departure or Zanzibar Extension

After a relaxed family breakfast in the highland gardens, drive back to Arusha, arriving by early afternoon. From here you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight — or on to Arusha Airport for a connecting flight to the tropical beaches of Zanzibar, the perfect way to wind down a family safari.
