Best Time to Visit
Tanzania can be visited all year round. The dry season from June to October is best for wildlife safaris, while January to March is great for calving season in the Serengeti. Zanzibar beaches are beautiful throughout the year.

Visa & Entry Requirements
Most travelers need a tourist visa to enter Tanzania. It can be obtained online (e-visa) or on arrival at the airport. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.
What to Pack
What to Pack
Pack light clothing in neutral colors for safari, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, insect repellent, and a camera. If trekking, bring proper hiking gear and warm layers.

Yellow Fever Vaccination
Yellow Fever Vaccination
Yellow fever vaccination is required for all travelers arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission. You must present a valid Yellow Fever International Certificate (Yellow Card) upon arrival. Even if traveling directly from a non-risk country, it is highly recommended to get vaccinated. The vaccination should be taken at least 10 days before travel. One dose provides lifelong protection.

I had a great time during my safari. I could join a group for 4 days (Serengeti-Ngorongoro-Tarangire). It was well organized and the guide, Bacari, gave a lot of valuable information about the animals. He knew his job in the parks so we saw a lot of animals. It is an unforgettable experience to see these wild animals up close!
