Tarangire National Park

About Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park is one of Tanzania's most underrated gems.

Famous for its massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire comes alive during the dry season (June–October) when the Tarangire River becomes the only permanent water source in the area, attracting vast numbers of wildlife.

The park boasts the highest concentration of elephants in Tanzania and is home to over 550 bird species.

Its landscape of baobab-studded hills, swamps, and riverine forests creates a uniquely beautiful safari setting that is less crowded than the Serengeti.
