About Arusha National Park
Arusha National Park is a hidden treasure just a short drive from Arusha city.
Despite its proximity to Tanzania's safari capital, the park remains wonderfully uncrowded and offers a completely different experience from the savannah parks.
Dominated by Mount Meru (4,566m), Tanzania's second-highest peak, the park features diverse landscapes including the Momela Lakes, Ngurdoto Crater, and lush montane forests.
It is one of the few places in Tanzania where you can do a walking safari with an armed ranger, getting you closer to nature.
Wildlife includes giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, colobus monkeys, and over 400 bird species.
