Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, meet your private driver-guide and transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight. Receive a detailed briefing on your migration-focused safari adventure.

Day 2 — Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for elephants and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch inside the park before heading to Karatu for the evening. The park's dense elephant population and diverse wildlife make for an exceptional first day on safari.

Day 3 — Karatu – Serengeti National Park (Migration Region)

After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park, with a game drive en route through the Ngorongoro highlands. Depending on the season, you'll head to the best location to witness the migration — Central Serengeti, Western Corridor, or Northern Serengeti. Enter the park and begin tracking the herds across the vast plains.

Day 4 — Full Day Serengeti – Great Migration Viewing

Spend the first of two full days following the movement of wildebeest and zebras and spotting lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and possibly river crossings (depending on location and timing). Watch the constant drama of the migration unfold — calves being born, predators on the hunt, and herds stretching to the horizon.

Day 5 — Full Day Serengeti – Continued Migration Tracking

Another full day dedicated to migration viewing. Your guide will adapt the route based on wildlife movements, taking you to the best areas for predator sightings and herd encounters. Explore different regions of the park, from the Seronera River Valley to the open plains where cheetahs scan for prey.

Day 6 — Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Morning game drive as you exit Serengeti. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route to Ngorongoro where you'll overnight on the rim or nearby in Karatu. Take in the breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro highlands as you transition from one iconic landscape to another.

Day 7 — Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha / Departure
