This 7-day safari takes you into the heart of Tanzania's wildlife spectacle: the Great Migration. The route follows the herds from Tarangire's elephants through the central Serengeti and deep into the remote northern Serengeti — the stage for the famous Mara River crossings — with two nights at Intimate Camp Zebra. The journey closes with a game drive on the Ngorongoro Crater floor and a relaxed night at Eileen's Trees Inn in the Karatu highlands. Best time: June–October for dramatic river crossings.

Day 1 — Arrival in Arusha — Overnight at Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, meet your private driver-guide and transfer to Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa for dinner and overnight. Mid-RangeDay 2 — Arusha to Tarangire National Park — Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge
Drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for elephants and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch inside the park, watching elephant herds gather along the Tarangire River and spotting a variety of wildlife in this diverse landscape. Exit in the late afternoon and continue into the Karatu highlands to Marera Valley Lodge, tucked beside its own waterfall and botanical gardens.

Mid-RangeDay 3 — Karatu to Central Serengeti — Overnight at Moyo Tented Lodge
After an early breakfast at Marera Valley, drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and enter the Serengeti at Naabi Hill Gate. Game drive across the southern and central plains en route to camp, tracking lions, cheetahs, and the resident herds of the Seronera region. Depending on the season, the Great Migration may be spread across the Seronera Valley itself. Arrive at Moyo Tented Lodge in time for a sundowner and dinner under the stars.

Mid-RangeDay 4 — Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti — Overnight at Intimate Camp Zebra
Today the safari heads north, where the migration drama reaches its peak. The drive itself is a rolling game drive — through the Lobo Hills and into the remote reaches of the northern Serengeti, where the wildebeest herds mass between the Bologonja hills and the Mara River. Arrive at Intimate Camp Zebra, a small tented camp close to the river-crossing action, in time for a campfire dinner.

Mid-RangeDay 5 — Full Day Northern Serengeti Migration Exploration — Overnight at Intimate Camp Zebra
An unforgettable full day tracking the Great Migration in the northern Serengeti. Head out at first light to follow the massive herds of wildebeest and zebra as they move across the plains, and — if timing and luck align — witness the breathtaking spectacle of a Mara River crossing, where thousands of animals brave crocodile-infested waters. Picnic lunch in the bush, continuing the search for the herds and their predators until the golden hour, before returning to Intimate Camp Zebra for the night.

Mid-RangeDay 6 — Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater — Overnight at Eileen's Trees Inn
Depart the northern Serengeti early and drive south through the park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the crater rim. Descend 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive on its wildlife-packed floor — the best chance of the trip to see the endangered black rhino, alongside lions, hyenas, buffalo, and flamingo-fringed soda lakes. Picnic at the hippo pool, then ascend and drive into Karatu for a relaxed evening at Eileen's Trees Inn, surrounded by tropical gardens.

Mid-RangeDay 7 — Karatu to Arusha — Departure
After a leisurely breakfast in the gardens of Eileen's Trees Inn, drive back to Arusha, arriving by early afternoon. Your driver-guide transfers you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight, a Zanzibar beach extension, or your journey home — carrying memories of the greatest wildlife show on Earth.
