Day 1: Arrival in Arusha — Gran Meliá Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Gran Meliá Arusha for a restful first night. Between the infinity pool, the plantation grounds, and a slow dinner, there is nothing else on the agenda — except a chat with your guide about the week ahead.

luxuryDay 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park — Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge
Set out after breakfast for Tarangire, the classic circuit's opening act: elephant families moving through cathedral groves of baobab, game trails crossing the river, kori bustards and ground hornbills stalking the grass. Picnic by the river before an afternoon drive through the swamps. Finish the day climbing to Karatu and Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge, your highlands base for two nights.

Today belongs to Lake Manyara: a ribbon of groundwater forest pinned between the Rift Valley wall and a soda lake. Look up for its famous tree-climbing lions draped over acacia branches, watch baboon troops by the hundred, and scan the lakeshore for pink flocks of flamingos. A picnic at the hippo-viewing point, then back over the escarpment to Neptune for a second candlelit night.

luxuryDay 4: Ngorongoro Crater Full-Day Safari — Meliá Ngorongoro
The crater deserves a full day and today is it. Descend at first light into the caldera, where the wildlife density is unmatched: black rhinos, lion prides, hyena clans, and buffalo herds on a floor ringed by walls 600 metres high. Picnic at the hippo pool, explore the Gorigor Swamp, and climb out in the afternoon to Meliá Ngorongoro — a rim-top room means the crater is the last thing you see at night and the first thing in the morning.

Bid the crater goodbye and drive west. The Ngorongoro highlands roll into the plains at Naabi Hill Gate, and the game viewing begins with the Serengeti's southern grasslands — cheetah country. Arrive at Meliá Serengeti on the Mbalageti slopes by late afternoon for the first of two nights here.

A full day across the Serengeti, dawn to dusk. Work the Seronera river system for leopard and lion, cross to the Moru Kopjes, and — if the season allows — track the Great Migration herds across the plains.
